Turkish knot rugs are different from rugs anywhere in the world for one reason:
Turkish rugs are double knotted. Each piece of silk is looped twice through the weft, making
the rugs more durable.Many places elsewhere are tied with a single knot.It is easy to do and take
less time to make, not so durable as double knots.
